I own and rock people’s faces off teaching ballroom dancing at Dancers Studio in St. Paul, MN. My husband and I compete professionally in American style and wrangle eight children in our spare time. I’ve been teaching and competing in ballroom dancing for over 25 years and have lots of opinions on it. I am an expert by any means, but there are quite a few dancers who are better than me and I have a solid knowledge of basic technique, so suck it.

Easter Candy

Our house has become a veritable Candyland after the holiday weekend.

I freaking love Easter candy.  Way more than Christmas candy (candy canes?  no.), or just regular ol' everyday candy.  

First of all, there's Cadbury.

CREME F-ING EGGS!

My love for the creme egg was a bit legendary at my old job.  The day these babies hit the gas station candy aisle, I'd find one in my locker and lo and behold, that was my harbinger of spring.

Did you know creme eggs come in a "mini" size now?!  But don't confuse them with the actual Mini Eggs!

Robin's Eggs?  Otherwise known as chocolate covered malted milk balls, but EVEN BETTER because they have a CANDY SHELL!  (Which then makes me wonder why M&Ms have never ventured into the malted territory.  I mean, they have peanut, peanut butter, coconut, pretzel, almond…)  LOVE!

Jelly beans?  Well, hold on, on that one.  Regular jelly beans?  Kind of gross.  They taste like Kool-aid, in a bad way.  But STARBURST JELLY BEANS!  OKAY!

    There are many things I want to marry and CREME F-ING EGGS! are one of them. Oh my word do I love them. The smaller ones are not quite as good…maybe I like the extra cream? Anyhow, holy cow I love them!
    My opinion on peeps is blech! They just taste like old mildewy sugar + ear wax
    As for my favorite candy…aside from CREME F-ING EGGS!, I really like caramel cremes, Take 5 candy bars, and my mom’s peanut butter fudge. I would marry that fudge too.

    Yes, the ratio of chocolate to creme is just right in the full-sized creme eggs and NOT ENOUGH in the minis.
    TAKE 5 BARS?! Are you kidding me?! It’s you and me on those. People make fun of me for liking them. “What’s a pretzel doing in a candy bar?” MAKING IT AWESOME.
    I am not a big fan of Peeps either. I do like them when they’re super dried out and taste a bit like the dehydrated astronaut ice cream of old.

    I LOVE Reese’s Eggs- just big ole Reese pieces. Amaze. Peeps suck and I also LOVE Take-5!!!! Hoc plate, caramel, PB and a pretzel- ummm yes please!
