I own and rock people’s faces off teaching ballroom dancing at Dancers Studio in St. Paul, MN. My husband and I compete professionally in American style and wrangle eight children in our spare time. I’ve been teaching and competing in ballroom dancing for over 25 years and have lots of opinions on it. I am an expert by any means, but there are quite a few dancers who are better than me and I have a solid knowledge of basic technique, so suck it.

If you don't know me by now, you don't know…

– I'm lip-syncing the hell out of this song right now.

– I'm missing that cup of cream with coffee right now.

– that day I ate those 8 muffin?  Each one tasted THAT good.

– I avoid the basement (and therefore, laundry) because there are Mice (well, A  Mouse was…) and Spiders down there.  

– I get weak in the knees when hearing "The Scientist", "Shanty By The Sea" or "Let's Get It On" every single time.

– how much I like cooking, uninterrupted.

– how much I'll pay you (in baked goods) to wash my dishes and sweep my floor. 

– that Viennese Waltz is my favorite dance right now, even though it is The Worst.

– how few times a week I shower.

– running sucks, but is the first choice.  

– how I never refer to myself as a Professional Ballroom Dancer, because I think it sounds horrible: boastful, prideful, arrogant.  But… that's what I am.  Paging Dr. Freud?

– that I'd like to take voice lessons.  

– my kids are the smartest, funniest, most polite little people.

What should I know about you?  Coffee or tea?  Lemon or lime?  Sweet or salty?  Early bird or night owl?  Driver or passenger?  Golfer?  Dancer?  Musician?  Underwater basket weaver?

    Oooh. Sharing. And while I may not have known these things, I could probably sense them, which is why we’re friends.
    – I secretly want to be a sous chef.
    – Cooking a great tasting meal satisfies me, but makes me lonely
    – through the years of youth orchestra, paying gigs, and chamber music, i would give it all up to play the cowbell. That’s where the glory is.
    – It’s not the sugar or scary coloring that I am addicted to in pop, it’s the bubbles
    – I will probably overly share if I am your friend, but for those who haven’t earned “friend” status yet, I am intensely private. Which is why I am not going to list any more things 🙂
