I own and rock people’s faces off teaching ballroom dancing at Dancers Studio in St. Paul, MN. My husband and I compete professionally in American style and wrangle eight children in our spare time. I’ve been teaching and competing in ballroom dancing for over 25 years and have lots of opinions on it. I am an expert by any means, but there are quite a few dancers who are better than me and I have a solid knowledge of basic technique, so suck it.

During our trip to Ohio, my sisters-in-law threw my soon-to-be-sister-in-law a wedding shower (is it called a bridal shower?), complete with delicious, glorious food.  And delicious, glorious wine.  And delicious, glorious "no boys".  And delicious, glorious "no small children".  

Best. Party. Ever.

My eldest SIL baked up some AMAZING quiche (seriously *droooool* ate like four slices) and mixed up some grand ganache truffles.

Feeding a crowd?  Take some notes from my sis: 

  • simple- who doesn't like quiche? (shut it, vegans)
  • easy- whip up quiche ingredients, melt together ganache ingredients
  • fresh- fruit was also served, along with wine from the vineyard

Add a bunch of delightful ladies, and you got a happy afternoon!
